Quick question. I had been thinking of setting up my daughter with an Ingress account but the only way she would be able to play is if I shared my data plan WiFi with our Android tablet. But after today's discussion it sounds like Google might suspect me of trying to play with two accounts and shut me down? So i am guessing this would not be a good move on my part to try right?

After studying for several hours I decided to take a break and run over to MSU for those two unclaimed portals Jackson Cyr had told us about. When I made it over to the second portal there was a couple that was walking in the area and talking. They started to walk off as I started deploying resonators. After I deployed the first one or two I hear the guy call my way asking if I was an Ingress player. :) I "believe" he said he was Cicevo.  We had a nice conversation and he is planning/looking forward to coming to the event tomorrow. It was a nice encounter and a little fun to meet one of the opposition players. Just another reason to look forward to & attend the event tomorrow.

Has anyone submitted a GEO location correction on the Walt Whitman statue? Based on what I am seeing from the Intel map, that thing is way off in la-la land.

Just took out 3 of the 8 portals at the Bozeman Library. Sadly I ran out of bursters. But if any of you have time & bursters to spare you might consider attacking. Even L3 players can do damage. If we can take down the Library we can regain control of a major portal.

Real Life is getting the better of me.  I am now working nonestop (70 hours a week).  I came back thru Three Forks and Manhattan, only to find all my portals to be overrun by smurfs.  As a matter of fact, I got a glimpse of Cicevo attacking me as I came home.  I look forward to seeing some of you guys at the MSU Portal Event.  Although I am moving THAT day, I will take two hours out to make an appearance,.  I look forward to meeting you guys!

Weirdest thing ever.... I just captured a portal in Belgrade. It wouldn't let me place the eighth resonator, rather it just kept giving me 125 pts each time I tried to complete the circle. I ended up placing roughly 25 resonators on the same spot, and got credit for each one. Must be a glitch?

Quick reminder:  The MSU Portal Event is coming up two weekends from now!  I've been flooding the COMM channels everywhere I go (mostly Billings, Butte, Great Falls, Missoula, and some areas in nearby states).  Hopefully we should have a few people making their way down.  With that said, I wanted to point out some things that still needed to be addressed:  1. I wanted to see how many of the Bozeman Enlightened will be able to attend this event. 2. Does anyone have a way to contact  zarkuu or any of his fellow smurfs?  I want them to get them involved and have them spread the word for their faction. 3.  I am currently working on flyers as this event comes closer.  I am looking for ideas on what should be on them to draw interest. Looking at making roughly 50-100 of them.  I would like to know if you guys know some good places to post them?  The obvious areas would be actual portals and MSU, but does anyone know MSU's policy on spreading/posting flyers? I look forward to hearing

If any of you are planning to do some portal work tonight, it might be possible to retake the library if you can beat Zarkuu. I took out two resonators and have a third one within 1 or 2 L3 bursters. After that you have a decent but damaged L5 resonator on the apps top row. The bottom row is mostly in tact made up of one L6 and the rest L4 & L5 resonators. I would have kept going but I was down to 1% xm - that & almost out of my bursters :)

I dont know how much you guys travel west, but there are three unclaimed portals in Whitehall (all located next to each other off the main road through town).  And finally, you guys should check out Butte.  Someone painstakingly linked together the entire town.  All portals are level 4 and lower with mostly lvl 3/4 resonators.  If you take out the one on the east end of town off of Harrison St, you can knock out like six different fields alone.  Just an idea.  I think I will make a quick day trip down there this coming weekend!

Phew... more active weekend than I thought.  I ended up making my first big control field.  Prolly wont last until the drink specials kick in at Old Chicago... but it was worth the drive.  Special thanks to Jackson Cyr (aka wagga) for helping me out tremendously by leaving me portals partially captured so I could get things going.  I honestly could not have done it without his help!  A lot of great sportsmanship among us to help the lower level guys out!   24k more pts to go before I hit lvl 6!!!  Thanks again!!!!

Not trying to sound like broken record, but we've added some serious muscle to our G+ community over the past few weeks... players that have been involved with Ingress before there was a G+ Bozeman Community.  With that said, lets add some more names on the Bozeman Player Names list so we know who you are, and how long you've been part of Ingress!  Feel free to add as much or little info as you want.  First name and last name initial is more than enough!  Thanks for your guy's support!

So three days ago my piece of junk HTC Thunderbolt mobile that I've had for 2 years started screwing up after the last system update.  By screwing up I mean it is running painfully slow (I can deal with it) and my Ingress app started screwing up with it (I could play the game, but I was unable to link portals cause the Portal Key icon stopped working).  Long story short, I was so frustrated that I ran to the Verizon store and got a new mobile... I even lost my unlimited data plan that I signed up for two years ago.  Yeah, I am an Ingress addict... come to think of it, there are waaaay more expensive hobbies to get into.  A new $200 mobile was a good investment... I will use it for other stuff as well... By the way, my new HTC DNA is ....amazing!  Game runs waaay smoother and the graphics are much crisper!

Nothing more annoying than pulling over to attack a portal with two missing resonators and two weakened & suddenly realize two portals have reappeared. Then checking the portal not only shows two new resonators, but also a nicely set of recharged resonators to boot. Freaking Zarkuu!!! Based on an idling car across the street and behind me that also left shortly later, I believe Zarkuu drives a darker blue car - possibly a Subaru but not positive.

Since we are all getting quite friendly, I would figured I would ask this question: How did you get involved with Ingress? Me personally, I am a geocacher and I was reading up on things on my hobby when someone mentioned this new "virtual game" of caching meets capture the flag. I was intrigued and then instantly hooked when I got my code. What is your story?

So about a week or two ago I had to make a run up to West Yellowstone. While up there I discovered 5 (I think) unclaimed portals just a few blocks apart right in town. Naturally I claimed them & foolishly spent a few keys hoping to create a field (came close). I did keep a couple keys but so at some point I hope to be able to link Bozeman to West.  Anyhow, I just wanted to let you all know that they are up there incase any of you head up there this summer. I just got notice that they have lost their charge so I believe they are unclaimed again.  Portal locations: 1. Historic Center 2. Wolf / Grizzly Discovery Center 3. Post office about 3 blocks straight down the side street as you exit Wolf/Grizzly Discovery Center (location is off, @ hotel prior to USPS) 4. Drug store (block down & block up from Historic Center) 5. Listed as Post Office I think but is an empty dirt alley / lot. After Drug store just head towards main inbound street, cross it and half way between the main road

Question:  Is there a shield/mod that prevents a portal from decaying?  There is one portal that I attacked the crap out of, and there are three resonators left.  This was almost a week ago, and all three remaining resonators are still showing at 100% Don't say someone is recharging them!  Otherwhise someone else would have filled in the the other 5 resonator spots and gotten the extra AP to make it worth the effort!

Great news! Niantic released an update for Ingress! You can now recycle unwanted items for XM and they also improved the graphics and tweaked some bugs. Check the Google Play Store for the update!

Hey folks, just a quick reminder.  Our very own Richard Browne has set up an event for 5/26/2013 at the MSU campus.  Pretty much anyone and everyone is invited, and he does have 22 activation codes for the first 22 people that show up.  I will also donate my codes if needed.  If you guys have a family member/friend who wants to participate, please bring them along.  The other way you can help is by simply spreading the word to others!!!  Thanks for all your help!  Lets have a great turnout!
