After much discussion and testing we are hoping to move state-wide communications to Slack and away from Hangouts. A single Slack Team will allow us to have channels for each area, a general channel, private group chats, and individual chats (direct messages). Owners and Admins do not have access to group chats unless invited, nor to direct messages between individuals. Slack also allows the team to be moderated and it does not have a limit of 100 people. The goal is to bring Montana together as a team for communication. It will not replace our communities but it will allow Montana to communicate more effectively as a team for local, State-wide, and National operations. Slack has proven very effective in Idaho and other areas. Please either post your email so we can add you or contact Robert Lafley, Jackson Cyr, Devon W, John Ewan, Frank Dougher, Jeremy Neff, or myself with your email address so we can add you.
Not me, but I am not in Bozeman.
ReplyDeleteCool, thanks for the feedback. A couple of us also sent her a msg so we will see if she responds.
ReplyDeleteHave you checked her profile? Where is she from? Have her send you her initials on the comm.
ReplyDeleteprofile is clean of Ingress stuff but if she is new player or does not make public posts about Ingress that would mean nothing. Profile says Bozeman. So we will see. I asked her to send me a comm comment using faction tab so...time will tell. About all we can do other than blind accept.
ReplyDeleteMost faction communities at least ask for initials to be sent on the comm. It at least verifies they are enlightened. Higher faction communities require knowing the person, references, and positive higher level faction actions.
