Just to let you all know, it looks like Google is handing out request codes roughly 1 1/2 - 2 weeks from request date. I sold my soul to the Enlightenment to get a code, but roughly two weeks after requesting an invite code they emailed it to me. My sister recently requested one and roughly 2 weeks got hers. I also used my other gmail account and again, roughly 2 weeks after got my code. 

So, if you all have friends who are interested, they should have a code within two weeks of asking.
